This allows the heat produced in the cable’s conductors to effectively dissipate. Under such conditions, the conductor insulation in the cables of a properly designed cable tray wiring system will not exceed its maximum operating temperature.

- MS Painted Cable Trays( Economic , normally used indoor, common colour- Siemens Grey)
- Galvanised Iron Finishes are in PG ( Pre Galvanized ) Cable Trays and Hot Dip Galvanised Cable Trays. PG finished cable trays are made with GI sheets where as Cable trays are formed with MS sheets and then with hanging in hot bath of Zinc, Hot dip Galvanised Cable trays are manufactured.
- Powder Coated cable trays ( outdoor too but normally indoor): Looks attractive but susceptible to corrosion.
