These are the most common type of cable trays available for supporting Armoured and Unarmoured cables and provide clean path for cables from source to user. GI perforated Cable Trays supplied with PreGalvanised Sheet also known as GI Sheet and is most common whereas the other type, in Hot Dip Galvanised or Powder Coated Cable trays are supplied against order only.

The common specification of Perforated cable trays are width x side collar x thickness and Finishes. When we describe perforated cable trays  as 300x40x1.6 GI , means, its  width is 300 mm, side collar on both sides is 40 mm and thickness of the  GI sheet is 1.6 mm.

The perforated cable trays are supplied in standard length of 2.5 meter and is  characterised by 3 important dimensions:

  1. Width  :  50 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm,200 mm, 300mm, 450mm, 600mm. Can be customised also 
  2. Side Coller: 25 mm, 40 mm, 50mm and 75 mm
  3. Thickness: 1.6 mm and 2 mm

The perforated cable trays are supplied in following finish:

  1. Hot Dip Galvanised Perforated Cable Trays : MS cable trays are hot dip galvanised and lead time is minimum 7-10 days.
  2. Pregalvanised or GI Perforated Cable Trays: Normal IS GI sheets are used and lead time is shorted 3-4 days.
  3. MS Painted Perforated Cable Trays: MS perforated cable trays are painted with Siemens Grey Colour and it take some time in drying of paint. Lead time is approx 1 week.
  4. Powder Coated Perforated Cable Trays:  Being best finish common for public dealing offices like schools, hospitals, club houses etc. Though corroison resistant, these are preferred for interior and not exposed in direct sun light.
