GI Earthing Plates
3E Solutions supply the complete range of GI Earthing Plates that are manufactured from Hot Dip Galvanised Iron Steel Plates and are used as a conventional earthing solution. The GI Plate earthing as per IS 3043 is used as part of an earthing system and are installed in a 4 Feet Long x 4 Feet Wide x10 Deep earth hole with alternate layers of Salt and Charcoal surrounding GI Plate. The salt help to reduce the earthing resistance by creating an electrolytic environment surrounding plate however leach out with time and need salt and water at more frequent intervals. The salt also corrode the plate and terminal strip that connect the GI plate with equipment and reduce the dependability.

Earthing Plate is fixed with GI strip and GI Pipe. After digging hole of the required size, the earthing plate is inserted in and salt and charcoal added in alternate layers upto the level of the plate. Funnel / Wire mesh is used to avoid soil in water pipe. The natural soil or 3E make backfill compound mixed with good quality ( pref black cotton soil) to backfill till the top and a chamber is installed to measure the earthing resistance values once a year. After testing the earthing, the earthing is connected to the equipment through a test link. The test link is used to disconnect earthing with interconnection to equipotential bonding while testing of the earthings.
