Rakesh Kumar Jain
Rakesh Kumar Jain is Electrical Engineer, Charterred Electrical Engineer and Certified Energy Auditor with 30 years of diversified experience in Electrical Engineering, Energy Conservation, Electrical Safety, Process, Project Management, Operation & Maintenance of Coal based thermal power stations having capacity of 110 MW to 250 MW. Also had hands on experience in Electrical Balance of Plants ( ABB ) of Thermal Power Stations and DDC based Control & Instrumentation (Instrumentation Limited-Kota).
Since March 2014, serving as independent Energy Auditor and Electrical Safety Auditor at 3E Solutions, a Jaipur based firm working in the field of energy conservation and electrical safety. Has carried out independent energy audits / PAT ( Perform Achieve and Trade ) scheme of BEE of Binani Cement, RSWM, Mayur Suiting, Arya College of Engineering, NITPRO, Bhagwan Mahavir Cancer Hospital etc. Also carryout electrical safety audits and electrical trouble shootings in the field electrical and processes
While working in ABB as Project Manager from 2007-2009, also got an opportunity of heading a Electricals-Balance of Plant project of 125 MW capacity in Rajasthan based on Lignite. Entire Electricals commissioning was monitored until the handing over to the client for this project from engineering / synchronization of the unit with the grid. Was instrumental during this period in helping ABB in execution of projects in Chhabra, Kota and Suratgarh.
While in Kota Super Thermal Power Station ( 1350 MW ) as Additional Executive Engineer, was involved in Process, assessing the power plant / equipment performance and modifying operation practices matching to achieve the optimum and safe operation of plant and its performance with the help of a team of 6 engineers to achieve this task in 5 different units at Kota TPS. Here he was also responsible for diagnosis of the trippings of the units by the operation staff and participated in meetings to make adequate measures for avoiding these trippings in future. All protections and interlocks were to be witnessed before taking the unit into operation again after trippings.
Also had hands-on experience in installation, testing and commissioning of 250 MW DCS system ( ABB Germany) at 250 MW Suratgarh Super TPS. I was involved in detailed engineering, Logic modifications, configuration of parameters, Modification of Graphics, Logics, Logs etc. and look after both Measurement and Automation for the entire plant.
For Two years also worked as Special Assistant (Technical) to the Chief Engineer at 5X250 MW Suratgart TPS. During this period I was actively involved in project planning and monitoring , follow up of progress with the consultant and construction agencies of Main Plant equipment, inspection at manufactures works and dispatch etc. Subsequently also assisted the Chairman and MD of newly formed Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd with close follow up with CEA, PFC, State and Central Govt. agencies for various tasks like approval, project monitoring, statutory clearance , financing etc. and procurement of main equipments and other packages for balance of Plant for new units at Suratgarh, Ramgarh and Kota .

- B Tech from MNIT Jaipur in Electrical Engineering from 1987-91

- Certificate course from CDG Germany in 2003-04 on Energy and Environment
- Certified Energy Auditor from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power Govt of India
